Hello,
the Ingersoll watches you are referring to are made in Asia. The original Ingersoll company has gone bancrupt on the beginning of the last century and the brand is owned by Timex now, they've sold the European rights to the British Zeon Ltd. and they allowed a German company to build watches branded with that name. So it's the original trademark but has nothing to do with the original watches.
You can find the company here:

Those watches have really good designs but are also well known for their quite bad quality sometimes, at least the first production output in the last year was of a quite bad quality. Many retailers and department stores have stopped selling them because of that meanwhile. I can't jugde about the current quality, the last one i've seen was from about 03/2005.
There are still many retailers that sell them and you can find them also on eBay, eBay Germany has a category for this brand, 'New watch brands -> Ingersoll' (or in German: 'Neue Uhrenmarken -> Ingersoll')
There are also a lot of pocket watches from Ingersoll on the market those are mostly original, the US Ingersoll company never made wrist watches as far as i know.
Best regards,
Jan
