The bit about football players is just my twisted humour.Stop taking these watches so seriously they are not perfect none of them.AP make good watches no doubt about that.But remember all these watch cases and straps are made by machines today.Only the quality of the material used and the finish is the difference.The insides are something else.I think the inside of an AP explains the price compared to say a rolex.The rolex calibers are built for strength and reliability.AP calibers are built for beauty and reliability when not used to hard.IWC have the motto Good Workmanship their cases and straps have always been rated very high in the watch industry.There is no big difference between the car and watch industries.Some brands in both industries have areas where they have reputations for being ahead of the rest.But no one has built the ideal car or watch.You buy what you like in a brand.But your judgement becomes better when you know what the other brands have to offer.To many on this site only know about their own favourite brands.This is a big mistake and it limits their knowlege of watches.Keep an open mind .And if i can give you an example of what i mean it is this.IWC in recent years have made so many badly designed watches that they were close to losing a lot of credibility in the watch world.Their vintage series was a fucking disaster.Their new aquanaut.Stop i have just been sick.Yes i like IWC but they also make rubbish now and again just like everyone else.
