Titanium is not easily scatched , it is the layer that forms on Titanium watches that shows the marks . Titanium is found in many different grades on watches , and brands finish their watch cases in many different ways . You will have to research any watch you are intrested in . Ceramic watches are not entirely sratch proof even though brands tell you they are .
Titanium watches are very friendly to the skin and lighter than SS watches , but they have been a bit of a fashion blip . They do not seem to be so popular today , i think it is to do with the weight and finish of them . Not many of them look as good as the SS models.
Getting back to Omega v JLC . Omega is a mass produced watch without a lot of handwork , they make ca. 1.500.000 watches a year on production lines . JLC make 40-50.000 watches a year . Making these watches involves a lot of handwork and real watch makers . But do not take my word for it , research it yourself . My choice would always be the cheapest JLC rather than the most expensive Omega anyday . Willy
