Even if this watch was not the first watch worn on the moon , i still believe it would be a classic . Intoduced in 1957 as a sports chronograph who would have guessed it would become one of the greatest classical watches in the world . And without a doubt the most famous chronograph ever . From the first watches with the 321 calibers followed by the 861 and 1861 etc etc.

There are many models . And expect to do a lot of reading to learn everything about the models and calibers in this watch . There are 39mm and 42mm models with plexi or saphire glass , and even glass backs on some models . And of course lots of special editions . The calibers are either Automatic or hand wound .

In the eyes of nearly all watch collectors only the plexi glass handwound 42mm models are thought of as true Speedys . In my opinion it is a great looking watch that is one of the best all round watches ever . And let us not forget it is also one of the best value for money watches you can get anywhere . Everytime i see one on someones wrist ,i think that watch as got something about it . It just looks so damm good on anyone .
