It might be a good idea if we had a risk analyst expert on this site . Who could work out the risk factor for a complete watch ignorant running around trying to buy his first watch over 20.000dk without B&P . But knowing all the nice honest people in the watch world , i suppose there is no real risk for him
I knew a guy in England who bought a GP watch used without B&P from a dealer in Holland . He saved nearly 1000 pounds on the deal , and was very happy . The watch ticked away on his wrist for about a year without problems . Then he decided to get it serviced because it started to go a bit slow . He took the watch into a GP dealer and imagine his supprise there was a interpol trace on his watch . It was part of a huge robbery involving millions . The watch was taken as evidence , and he was asked where he had got the watch . It turned out that the dealer who sold him the watch , recieved a small fine , and my friend got no compensation . Storys like this are most probably very rare
One thing is for sure , and that is that Willy boy here would never buy a less than 20 years old Patek without B&P
